LOVE...60s

When I wrote about the SS13 collections last year I was most excited about the 60s feel to the collections, specifically from Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs.

When I was 15 and very poor I shopped at the St Vincent De Paul Retro shop in Hobart, which is sadly no longer there. I would find the most amazing vintage pieces for only a few dollars, and as I couldn't afford to shop in regular stores, I spent a lot of my teen years looking like I was from another era. I am so sad I didn't keep more of them, but I have moved so many times a lot of the pieces have fallen by the wayside.

I'm really looking forward to a very ladylike way of dressing with this trend. Lots of eyeliner, perfectly coiffed hair and an excuse to wear gloves! One thing I will not be doing is kitten heels. I can't walk in them and I am far too used to pretending I'm 5"10, so my platforms are going to remain a firm fixture.
