I adore Radio 1s Live Lounge. Despite living in Australia now, I leave my Itunes set to the UK just so I can buy the Live Lounge albums as soon as they come out. Daughter recently paid a visit to the Lounge for an amazing cover of last week's Musical Motivation, Get Lucky.
I love hearing artist's interpretations of songs, especially hearing how they translate in a different musical style. Daughter's Get Lucky is breathy, sexy, but also a little forlorn. In their capable hands, the song speaks to me of the wanting and hurt that comes from unrealised love.
