The phenomenal Lisa Eldridge took over at LOVE magazine for a week in July. On day 1 she offered an insight into her dating past complete with cat photos...that woman knows how to please a crowd. She then used her considerable talents to create 3 films collectively titled Being Betty, working with British actress Gemma Arterton to recreate the looks of 3 famous Bettys. Betty Page is my favourite. We really must go back to utilising all the amazing 90s slang Clueless gave us, because Betty is a perfect description for a beautiful woman.

Working in makeup myself, I have lost track of how many times I have been told by clients and friends that they just find it too hard to change their makeup routine. Lisa proves there really is no excuse. Speaking as someone who only picked up a makeup brush 4 years ago, I can tell you from personal experience that practice really does make perfect. Nobody expects to be able to paint a canvas like a pro straight away, so be patient with yourself. It will pay off!
